Busy day

So, yes, we're busy. And I went to bed early last night. So I don't really have a post prepared for this morning. And I'm tired.

I want a hug.

Unfortunately, the way this day is shaping up, this is about what I should expect:

    It's a Facehugger - one stage in the life-cycle of the Xenomorph from the Alien movies. Here's a plush version, which will probably give you a better (but hopefully nightmare-free) idea of how they work.

    And, yes, Firstborn owns the plush version. He also once built a very convincing version of the wee beasty using his Trio blocks. I haven't gotten him the plush Chestburster (which is what hatches out of you after the Facehugger has done its work) yet, but his birthday's in June, so...

    I was actually wondering the same thing, Mike, but as I'm ignorant of all things...alienish...didn't want to seem juvenile. I wasn't so much having nightmarish thoughts as I was thinking that it seemed quite fitting for it to be, shall we say, reproductive.
