I'm still not entirely satisfied with the first fight scene over at The Shining Walls. So, I've gone back and revised it. Hopefully I'll have a new section either tomorrow or early next week.
(I'm actually kind of hoping for early next week, as another bit of The Hunter Prince or A Haunted World are the things most likely to show up here and delay the next installment of The Shining Walls.)

Meanwhile, the dark forces gather elsewhere...
...Over at The Shining Walls, actually. I'm in training, so there's nothing here, but I did put that over there.

Shining Walls Part I Don't Even Know
So, the next section of Chapter Two is up at The Shining Walls. Please let me know if you see anything off, and as always I hope you're enjoying it.

Shining At Last
There is, finally, another update to The Shining Walls. Pardon the delay; my week off has been spent in resting and cleaning, and not so much in writing. But it's there, and it marks the beginning of the next chapter: Cryptic Stronghold. As usual, if you see any glaringly obvious errors, please let me know.

The Shining Walls, updated!
There's a new post up at The Shining Walls. As usual, any and all corrections, feedback, and shameless compliments are appreciated.

The Shining Walls - into the city
The next section of The Shining Walls is up! As usual, any feedback is welcome.
In related news, we've hit the peak of my busy season - the time when the avalanche of work events finally comes crashing down - so my schedule has basically imploded. So if I'm incoherent or just plain absent, that's what's going on.

More Walls, More Shining
There's another little chunk of chapter one ("Vital Revocation") up at The Shining Walls. As usual, I'd appreciate it if you could point out any errors in spelling, grammar, or attention span (missing words, etc.) in the piece. It will get a proper run of proofreading later on, but every little bit helps.

The Shining Walls, now above ground!
The next section of Chapter One is up at The Shining Walls. As usual, any input or feedback is appreciated - particularly mistakes that I might not have spotted.

New post at The Shining Walls
The next little chunk of Vital Revocation (i.e. Chapter One) is up at The Shining Walls. Because sometimes I actually can get things done on my lunch break.
As usual, feel free to point out any spelling errors, missing words, grammatical SNAFUs, textual inconsistencies, or anything else that needs fixing. Thanks!

Update at The Shining Walls.
There's a new post over at The Shining Walls. Bear in mind this is what Anne Lamott calls a Shitty First Draft, and let me know if you see any glaring errors that need to be fixed.

Vital Revocation Begins Anew
Okay, so, I've done a completely new opening scene over at The Shining Walls. This is, I think, a much stronger approach - but take a look, see what you think, and feel free to point out anything I've done wrong, including omitted words or basic errors in spelling and grammar. (I can't usually spot those until a good two weeks after initially composing something.)

The Shining Walls Reloaded
I'm... not entirely happy with the way The Shining Walls is shaping up. I like the main idea - not that I've gotten far enough to start exploring that, mind you - but the writing itself is... not off to a good start.
This is, of course, entirely my own fault. Among other things, the project started (and, so far, has been entirely written) in what I can best describe as a state of abject exhaustion. It has also been competing with a couple of other projects for space in my brain. This is no way to write a book. (Lastly, of course, there's the simple and irrefutable fact that since I'm the one writing it, if I think it sucks I have nobody to blame but myself; if I want the story to Not Suck, I need to write better.)
Rather than deleting what I have, I'm going to mark it with a "Version 01" tag and leave it up. Then I'm going to start again at the beginning, and work on version two. I will, of course, be cannibalizing the bits I like from the first version.
In a way, this is good news. After all, it's been a couple of weeks and the project hasn't been abandoned entirely. That's good, right?
