Challenge: Ten Gifts For People Who Love Swords

Some context for anyone coming in late: the topic is from the Weekly Blogging Challenge over at Long and Short Reviews. They have a new prompt each week (see the graphic at the first link) and on Wednesdays you can drop by their homepage to find the post where everybody puts links to their responses. You can even add your own if you like.

This week's challenge is Ten Gifts For People Who Love X, and for X I'm inserting "swords".

I'm also doing this at the last possible minute, so it might be a little tongue-in-cheek.

Anyway, without further ado:
  1. A longsword.
  2. A shortsword.
  3. A two-handed sword.
  4. A saber.
  5. A short saber (e.g. a wakizashi).
  6. A two-handed saber that is not a katana.
  7. A two-handed saber that is a katana.
  8. A mace (to break the monotony and/or the opponent's armor).
  9. A polishing kit for all the swords.
  10. Racks/wall mounts for displaying all the swords.

Incidentally, if anybody out there is wondering what to get me for Christmas...

      Thanks! I used to actually practice the sort of martial arts that used them, but it's been a few years -- being a parent ate most of my hobbies and I'm only recently getting them back.

    What, no light saber? … my kid's really into knife and ax throwing. I bet she'd be into swords, too (heaven help us).

    I seriously thought about enrolling my kids in an axe-throwing camp. It sounds therapeutic!

    Yanno, I appreciate blunt honesty, especially when it comes to presents. I like to know what someone wants, versus, guessing and getting it wrong.Kudos and great list.

    My kids had some awesome swords on their walls back in the day, and my niece loves axe throwing!
