Sleep? Please define this strange foreign concept.

Came home tired last night, napped, and then tried to go to bed at a sensible hour. Well, actually, I did go to bed at a sensible hour, and I was deeply, deeply asleep... at three-thirty in the morning... when Captain Meowy-Pants Stupid-Alarm-Clock started meowing. Loudly.

Repeatedly.

Incessantly.

I honestly believe that if I could have managed it, we would own one less cat. Fortunately (or not), I was too paralytically exhausted to move, let alone get up and kill him. So the cat survived, but I look more than a little bit like a raccoon.

Also, the top of my head itches from the sunburn I acquired at the renaissance festival on Saturday, but the less said about that, the better.

Once I get done with this busy, busy day and get both boys down to sleep, I am putting Captain Meowy-Pants Stupid-Alarm-Clock in his cage, and I am putting his cage in some suitably soundproof corner of the house. And then I will settle down on the bed, and get myself a good night's coma. I hope.

  1. Hopefully Captain Meowy-Pants decides not to serenade you tonight.

  2. I put him in the cage overnight. Not only did he do it again, he did it loud enough to wake up EVERYBODY. It's a wonder he's still alive. Fuzzy little dude is sleeping in the garage tonight - I can't do this a third night in row.
