I don't follow football, but as far as having openly out gay players go? This pretty much sums it up for me:
And, incidentally, as someone who really doesn't understand sports culture, and doesn't find watching sport interesting at all, this is pretty much how any discussion of football sounds to me.
Funny video. And I would much rather hear about archaeology myself than sports. I find watching football to be a powerful sedative.
ReplyDeleteI understand playing sports (though I've generally avoided team sports, as I have an aversion to being shouted at). I really don't understand the appeal of watching sports, though.

Polly was quite like you when we married. I have won her over, but she tends to "watch" the game with me with a book or iPad in hand. She tends to like going to the game rather than watching it on TV.
You know me, Bruce. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg for you to watch twenty sports or no sports.
