Really, Geraldo Rivera?

Where have I heard this before? ‎"It was totally his fault! Look at the way he was dressed! He was askin' for it!"

Uh huh.

By blaming the victim, Geraldo Rivera offers an excuse for the man who shot an unarmed kid in the chest. Whether he means to or not, he is now actively defending a murderer. I do not have the words to express the mixture of rage and contempt that I have for this.

  1. What the??? Really????

The hoodie did it? That nutty neighborhood watch guy???? That says it all! I've seen plenty of "skater" types wearing hoodies. What gives?

I don't.even.know. I have hear it all! I am so very angry about this. Has Geraldo not listened to the 911 tapes? The 911 dispatcher told Zimmerman not to follow Martin and he did it anyway. Isn't that enough to know that the hoodie is in no way responsible. Just because someone is black, oh, I'm sorry, dark skinned, and wears a hoodie he's fair game?

All these years we've been told that not obeying the police instructions is enough to get you shot. But when some racist numbnuts disobeys instructions and creates a situation where he shoots someone (the self-defence thing is ridiculous, but if he'd stayed put like he was told there wouldn't even be that) and somehow that's ok. The mind boggles.

Rassa frassa after the Littleton massacre we couldn't wear trenchcoats, either.. Consarnit.

Murderous guy is murderous. Racist guy is racist. Stupid talking head is stupid. Hoodies rock my wardrobe. I wear my Social Distortion and Green Day ones with pride. Please don't shoot me. The end.
