"Andy?" asked the ghost, as he stepped out of the car. She was unfamiliar, and accompanied by a handsome man in a fitted suit, the holster under his arm visible but not glaringly obvious.
Andy nodded, and Mr. Siegel opened the driver's door and stepped out. "This is him."
"Good," the ghost nodded. "Tab's checking over the crew, so once she's done we can be on our way."
A massive figure strolled over from the hangar doors, wearing what must have been a custom suit. She was easily eight feet tall, and heavily enough built to seem even larger. She'd disdained a suit jacket in favor of a trench coat, but still wore a button-down shirt with her slacks.
"Chante," said the ghost, holding out a hand.
Andy shook it, ignoring the sudden chill, and nodded. "Andrew McFall -- Andy." He raised his voice slightly, so the other two could hear. "Mr Siegel... thank you."
The wolf nodded. "I'll let Mr. Carillo know you made it this far safely."
Andy turned back to the ghost. "You're my... security detail?"
She nodded. "Yeah. I don't know who you are, kid, but the Authority sure seems to have taken an interest."
"Genuinely no idea why," Andy told her. "I'm a newly-turned wight, nobody important when I was still alive, and nobody important among us others either."
Chante studied him for a long moment, then shrugged. "No idea," she admitted. "But we have our orders, so off we go."
The massive woman huffed a laugh. "Just like always."
The handsome man in the custom suit smiled. "Once more unto the breach, whatever that turns out to be this time."
Andy nodded. "Glad to have you along." He followed them onto the plane as Mr. Siegel turned the sedan around and headed back for the academy.
