All of the other antelopes used to laugh and call him names, they never let poor Albert play in any antelope games. Then one foggy Christmas eve, Santa came to say, "Albert, with your ass so bright, won't you be my back up light" Then all the antelopes loved him, and they shouted out with glee, Albert, the brass-assed antelope, you'll go down in history. I am sure, however, that AMBROSE is the name used in the original version (going back to some time in the 50s, I believe.) I think “brass” was the original line, with the classic, “Rudolph” ending. The nightly performer at my college pub performed this around the holidays. I think he used Abner, but also saw someone use Adolph.

Everything is the same in the version I remember with the exception of the last line. Instead of mirroring Rudolph's "you'll go down in history", the line I recall being sung is "you're a lucky SOB"Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16448859732458224285noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4446682073857250843.post-34260505034789750432015-12-17T21:15:06.924-06:002015-12-17T21:15:06.924-06:00Ha! The only thing is you got the last line of the first verse wrong. It should read, "You would think that it was brass."Mountain Manhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04946203891524207724noreply@blogger.com
